The #10 ranked Oregon Tech Women’s Baseball team (43-15) exploded for 6-runs in the bottom of the second inning and Sarah Abramson took over from there in a complete game 6-0 shutout against No. 13 Indiana Wesleyan University (44-17) in the title game of the Marion Bracket of the NAIA Opening Round.
The win propels the Owls into the 2019 NAIA Softball World Series hosted by Evangel University and the Springfield Sports Commission scheduled to take place at the Killian Softball Complex May 23-29.
The Owls will open up the World Series against the Rams of the University of Mobile (Ala.) at 8:00 AM (Pacific) on Thursday, May 23.

- OIT is 13-6 All-Time at the World Series
- Oregon Tech won the 2011 NAIA World Series, 4th in 2015
All-Star forward Kevin Durant, who not played since May 8, is reportedly expected to miss another playoff game for the Golden State Warriors.
Durant has missed Golden State’s last two playoff games — Game 6 of the Western Conference semifinals and Game 1 of the Western Conference finals — because of a right calf strain.

The Seattle Mariners open a three-game series against the Minnesota Twins tonight.
The Mariners are 9-11 on their home turf. The Seattle pitching staff owns a team ERA of 4.78, Marco Gonzales paces the staff with a mark of 3.18.
