Klamath Basin HBA Inaugural “Build My Future” Event – A look Back!

Klamath Basin HBA and partners hosted for the first time ever, an event for high school (9-12) students in Klamath, Lake and Modoc Counties centered on trade careers.

Students from 12 high schools gained hands-on experience at this great trades event. Watch the video and share with friends on your Facebook page!

The purpose of this event was to increase student awareness of careers in the trades industries and encourage consideration of working in the trades.

The event featured about 35 hands-on demonstrations for the students including the use of heavy machinery, nail guns for roofing, and discovering measurements and materials commonly found inside home walls.

Many of the businesses represented also talked with students about apprenticeship opportunities.
