92nd Klamath County Rotary 4-H & FFA Livestock Auction Set for August 2nd

KLAMATH COUNTY ROTARY

https://kcrotary.org/

The Klamath County Rotary, 4-H, & FFA Livestock Auction will celebrate its 92nd year on Sunday, August 2, at the Klamath County Fairgrounds, marking one of the longest-standing traditions of the Klamath County Fair.

The annual auction provides local 4-H and FFA members with the opportunity to showcase and sell the livestock projects they have worked diligently to raise throughout the year. Buyers from across the community—including businesses, organizations, and individuals—play a vital role in supporting youth agriculture, leadership development, and educational opportunities.

For generations, the auction has served as a cornerstone event of the fair, connecting young livestock exhibitors with community members who value the hard work, responsibility, and agricultural skills developed through 4-H and FFA programs.

“Each year, the Livestock Auction highlights the dedication and accomplishments of our local youth,” said Pam Greene. “The support of our buyers and community partners helps ensure these programs continue to thrive and provides meaningful opportunities for the next generation of agricultural leaders.”

Community members are encouraged to attend the auction, meet local exhibitors, and support the hard work of Klamath County’s 4-H and FFA participants. Whether purchasing livestock, participating as a buyer’s group, or simply attending, community involvement helps make the auction a continued success.

The 92nd Klamath County Rotary 4-H & FFA Livestock Auction will be held on the final day of the Klamath County Fair, Sunday, August 2, at the Klamath County Fairgrounds. Over 100 Rotarians give their time to making this event happen voluntarily. Thank you to Sage Credit Union, Padgett, and the Klamath County Fairgrounds for continuing to support this event each year.

Preregistration is open on showman.app, head to kcrotary.org for more details.

How to Support the Youth:
Over one million dollars is raised each year with the support of our community. 100% of dollars stay local. 90% of funds go back to the youth, 4% are redistributed through the Rotary Community grant fund, 3% is given through scholarships and donations, and less than 3% covers expenses. You can support the youth in by joining the bidder pool, buying live stock, or add-ons.

Add-Ons are donations that go directly to support a specific exhibitor, group, or project. You do not have to purchase an animal to make an Add-On. You can also make an Add-On donation to the Scholarship Fund, either by participating in the paddle draw or by making a separate donation.

Join the Bidder Pool to grow funds through livestock purchases and scholarships. To register, provide your name, mailing address, email, mobile phone number, and sign the Buyer Acknowledgement. When purchasing an animal, you can:

● Custom (C): Choose your preferred butcher for meat processing.
● Resale (R): Resell the animal at the current market price listed in the Auction Sales
Book.

When purchasing livestock, Resale (R) and Custom (C) options are available for steers, hogs, sheep, and goats only. If you choose Resale (R), you may also donate the resale value to a designated charity. Whole steers and hogs can be donated to the Food Bank with no processing fees. Small animals are not eligible for resale but may be donated to the Gospel Mission.
