The Klamath Art Gallery Presents “Liskey & Johnson Art Show” Through April 26th

The Klamath Art Gallery presents “Liskey & Johnson Art Show” this month, through April 26, 2026.

Mary Wells Johnson was encouraged to begin painting professionally by her husband Raymond, she began her journey nearly two decades ago.  Studying oils under the legendary George McMahon (Boston/San Francisco) and perfecting watercolors from award-winning Pam Stoehsler, learning specific genres from other artists; her enduring faith, natural talent and dedication have brought us to the accomplished, award-winning artist we have today.

Water movement has become a specialty of Mary’s.  An appreciation of one of her waterfalls delivers crisp, powerful sight and sound.  She has taught several classes specific to that artistic endeavor; as well as general art, private classes for children by appointment in both watercolor and acrylics.

Full spectrum from design, development and presentation in oils watercolors and acrylics, Mary has presented artwork for many successful art gallery exhibitions and personal sales.  She collaborates with clients to create custom artwork specifications. Mary is skilled in capturing details aesthetically pleasing, delivering their sought-after joy.

Susan Liskey’s oil painting career started with George McMahan of Klamath Falls up to his retirement. Other credits to her career include an acrylic workshop with Hugh Greer, pastel workshop with Maggie Price, both having publications with Northern Light books.  Watercolor workshops with Sharon Rajnus, Larry Johnson and Pam Stoehsler, all local instructors.  A college course with Professor Sharon Latchaw Hirsh of Rosemount College “How to Look at and Understand Great Art”.  I was also part owner of Clearwater Gallery, partner in Gallery 803, member of Klamath Art Association and Two Rivers Gallery.

Susan specializes in commission work, painting portraits of animals or people, your favorite landscape or a favorite photograph.  At home, at the Liskey’s Farmhouse Studio she hangs her work and conducts art classes once a week.

On Friday’s she holds painting classes at the Klamath County Museum. She instructs her students in oils, pastels, and acrylics.

So join us this weekend! The “Liskey & Johnson” Art Show!
