Featured Artist LaVaughn Kemnow, at Two Rivers Art Gallery and Gift Shop in Chiloquin

Featured Artist LaVaughn grew up on a dairy farm in the Pacific Northwest, adjacent to the Siuslaw National Forest. Her grandparents have been among the earliest settlers in this area.

LaVaughn’s many books were inspired by her family drives over narrow, dirt Forest Service roads winding through towering spruce and fir forests. Sometimes her travels took her to fire lookout stations. Later on she and her husband began visiting fire lookouts and abandoned lookout sites. The fascination with the history of these sites led to an in-depth study and research of original documents and photos pertaining to the historical events throughout time, much of which is presented in her interesting books.

LaVaughn concentrates her jewelry for our younger buyers with prices ranging from $5-$8. Some of her charms and polished stone jewelry items are a bit more at $10-$14. LaVaughn had several people suggest to her that she should submit her books and jewelry to the Two Rivers Art Gallery & Gift Shop in Chiloquin, Oregon. So, she did just that. Her work was juried and approved.

The Gallery is happy to welcome her into our Gallery family. Please come and see what LaVaughn has created as an Author and a jewelry Artist. We are excited to have her work in our Gallery.

We are open from 11-4 Tuesday through Saturday. Please feel free to check out her work and the artwork of many of our 90+ Artists.

Two Rivers Art Gallery and Gift Shop is located in the Chiloquin Community Center.
