TIM BURTON DEVELOPING LIVE-ACTION “THE ADDAMS FAMILY” SERIES
While the kooky family are busy killing it at the box office and prepping for a 2021 animated return, The Addams Family is getting ready to head to the small screen again as Tim Burton is helping develop a new live-action adaptation.
… The series will bring the family in to the modern day and would center on young Wednesday Addams and her view on the world.
TRAILER FOR “DREAMLAND”, STARRING MARGOT ROBBIE
Paramount Movies has released the trailer for the upcoming thriller Dreamland, featuring Margot Robbie as she portrays a wanted bank robber with a big bounty on her head. Also starring Peaky Blinders’ Finn Cole, the film will arrive in select theaters on November 13 and will also be available to stream on November 17. • VIDEO
JAMES BOND TO GO STREAMING?
No Time to Die may have no time left to wait for theaters to reopen. A report (on iMore.com) says MGM has offered Apple TV a chance to bid on the James Bond movie and get it out to audiences before it’s April 2021 release. No Time to Die was supposed open last April, was postponed to this November, then was moved again to next April.
… Another source says producers of the 007 films have so far rejected a $400 million offer from Apple TV for the rights to Daniel Craig’s final film as Bond and will take no less than $600 million.
RYAN REYNOLDS DOESN’T WANT TO SHARE HIS BIRTHDAY WITH EMILIA CLARKE
Friday was Ryan Reynolds’ birthday. It was also the birthday of Game of Thrones star Emilia Clarke — and Ryan used this fact as the perfect opportunity to troll Emilia on their shared special day. The fun started when Ryan’s production company, Maximum Effort Productions, shared a happy birthday tweet for Emilia, cheekily ignoring the fact that it was also Ryan’s birthday.
… Of course, Ryan had to respond with an announcement that he moved Emilia’s birthday this year: “So sorry. I moved her birthday this year. It was feeling a little crowded for me.” Then he followed up with the perfect date for Emilia’s new birthday: “Excited to announce February 29th as Emilia’s new birthday. Congratulations!”
EMILIA CLARKE SKYDIVES ON HER BIRTHDAY
Emilia Clarke spent her birthday trading in dragons for a new method of flight. She wrote on Instagram Friday: “What could match the profound existential terror of another birthday?,” captioning a series of snaps from her skydiving adventure.

Congratulations are in order for Hilary Duff and her husband, Matthew Koma. Duff shared the news that she’s pregnant with their third child.
STEPHEN KING THINKS MOVIE VERSION OF CARRIE IS BETTER THAN BOOK Stephen King never fails to offer his honest opinion. Over 50 movies have been made out of King’s novels, and he isn’t afraid to admit when he doesn’t like them. The horror author has said he doesn’t like Stanley Kubrick’s adaptation of The Shining. He also recognizes how terrible Maximum Overdrive is. But when it comes to the 1976 film version of Carrie, King is willing to admit that the movie is better than his own book.
BLAKE LIVELY’S TRIBUTE TO RYAN REYNOLDS AFTER VOTING
Blake Lively perfectly commemorated Ryan Reynolds’ first time. His first time voting in a United States presidential election, that is. As has become their style on social media, the married Hollywood pair typically do not shy away from poking fun at each other online. So, when it came time for Reynolds to cast his ballot — his first in a presidential race since the Vancouver-born star became a naturalized citizen — Lively did not miss out on the chance to turn it into a productive punchline. She wrote on Instagram: “It was Ryan’s first time. He was understandably scared. It all happened so fast. Like, REALLY fast. He wept. I pretended to weep.”
… Meanwhile, Reynolds also celebrated the occasion over on his page with a post that made fans do a double take of Lively’s shoes. In nearly-identical posts we see the pair posing at the exterior of their voting location. In the pic Reynolds shared his wife is wearing shoes; in the pic she shared she’s shoeless.
BRYAN CRANSTON’S JUDGE BREAKS BAD IN SHOWTIME THRILLER SERIES
Bryan Cranston can’t stop breaking bad. In the Emmy-winning actor’s return to the crime drama, Cranston stars in the 10-episode limited Showtime series Your Honor as a judge whose principles are shaken when his son gets involved in a hit-and-run accident involving an organized crime family. Your Honor premieres on Showtime on Sunday, December 6. • VIDEO
THE OLD GUARD 2 REPORTEDLY IN DEVELOPMENT
Days after Netflix shared that it’s film The Old Guard had close to 80 million household views in the first four weeks of release, a source says the streamer has signed Charlize Theron for a sequel. Theron mentioned earlier this year that an Old Guard 2 would happen “when the time is right,” and it appears that time is now. The source says a script is currently in development.
… The Old Guard, based on a popular comic book of the same name, tells the story of a powerful squad of immortal mercenaries on a vengeful mission against those who betrayed them.
