The #13 Oregon Ducks Mens Basketball team used a 21-0 first half burst to run away from California, defeating the Golden Bears 90-56 Thursday night at Matthew Knight Arena.  In the process, Oregon moved into a tie with UCLA atop the Pac-12 standings.

Thursday’s win means that the Ducks (23-7, 12-5) will be playing for the Pac-12 regular season title and the No. 1 overall seed to next week’s Pac-12 Tournament when Oregon hosts Stanford on senior night Saturday at 8 p.m.

Regardless the outcome on Saturday, the Ducks have secured no worse than the No. 2 seed to the league’s annual showcase in Las Vegas.

Payton Pritchard scored 20 points and had nine assists to lead the Ducks. Anthony Mathis added 17 on 5-of-6 shooting from three-point range.   Will Richardson and Addison Patterson each scored 13 points, while Shakur Juiston had 10.

With a third straight Pac-12 regular season title in hand, the No. 3 ranked Oregon Women’s Basketball team will look to cut down more nets this weekend at the Pac-12 Tournament in Las Vegas.

Riding a 16-game win streak into the postseason, Oregon (28-2, 17-1) is seeking its second-ever conference tournament championship after winning in 2017-18.

The Ducks will get a bye in the opening round as the No. 1 seed and will face the winner of Thursday’s 8/9 game between Utah and Washington in the quarterfinals on Friday at 2 p.m. PT in Mandalay Bay Events Center (Pac-12 Network).

The Mazama Vikings play at Valley Catholic in Girls playoff action in the OSAA 4A basketball playoffs tonight in Beaverton.

In Klamath Falls tomorrow on Saturay, Henley will host Baker in a 3pm contest.  The winners advance to the final tournament site next week in Forest Grove.

The Owls (26-7) will start play in the Duer Bracket as the No.2 Seed and will have its first round contest on Thursday, March 12th, at 7:15 pm Pacific (9:15 pm CST) in the final game of the opening round against 7th seeded Mayville State (N.D.) at the Sanford Pentagon in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
