The Oregon Ducks are nearing the top 10 in the NCAA college football polls after a big come from behind victory over the Washington Huskies over the weekend 35 to 31 in Seattle. Today the Ducks are sitting at #11 in the NCAA College Football Rankings.

Oregon trailed 28 to 14 early in the third quarter but battled back under the four touchdown passing day of Justin Herbert. Oregon is now six and one on the season and will match up against Washington State at Autzen Stadium in Eugene this Saturday. The Ducks have not beaten Washington State in the past 3 seasons.

The Oregon State Beavers scored a late touchdown and then grabbed an interception to rally past the California Golden Bears 21-17 on Saturday afternoon in Berkeley, California.  The Beavers have a bye week and will then take on the Arizona Wildcats on November 2nd.

The college basketball season started a little earlier than normal this year here in the Klamath Basin.

Sonoma State opened up the Oregon Tech women’s basketball campaign with a win over the owls 85-68 at Danny Miles Court. Sonoma is an NCAA Division II school and the game was classified as an exhibition.

And later this week the NBA’s regular season begins.

The Portland Trail Blazers open the season against the Denver Nuggets.  The Blazers finished the NBA’s preseason at 2 and 3. Portland is already nursing some minor injuries to potential starting players but hope to have them all healthy for the opening game this week.
