Citizens for Safe Schools Hosts Virtual Fundraiser

For 21 years, Citizens For Safe Schools, a 501 (c)3 nonprofit, has provided youth development, character education and mentoring for Klamath County’s “At-Promise” youth, leveraged over 850 volunteers with over 185,000 hours in that tenure, and secured nearly 15 million in grant and fundraising efforts to serve our community.

Research, evaluations, and testimony confirm that this important work is producing safe, humane, non-violent young people. Our mission is to create a safe and drug free community where all children, especially those at risk for delinquency, academic failure or victimization have opportunities to build resiliency and character and adults are empowered to help them.

With the economic, health, and social impacts of COVID-19, we are on the front lines working to ensure our most vulnerable youth and families remain safe and supported.

While this unique crisis presents barriers to fulfilling annual fundraising goals for our mentoring programs, we have adapted and will persevere with a modified VIRTUAL murder mystery event and silent auction that closes on Saturday, October 24th, to raise support and funding for our mentoring programs.

Every dollar raised goes directly towards supporting a Mentor/Mentee match right here in the Klamath Basin.
