TENET CROSSES $300 MILLION AT GLOBAL BOX OFFICE
The movie Tenet has passed $300 million at the global box office and $45 million in North America.

SNL favorite actor guest, Alec baldwin, is addressing the big backlash (everyone gets backlash these days…no matter who you are or what side you’re on) on his portrayal of President Trump on SNL, as he was back Saturday night with Jim Carrey who was playing Joe Biden.

President Trump, who was diagnosed with COVID-19 on Friday and has been staying at Walter Reed Medical Center, along with First Lady Melania Trump who’s quarantening at The White House, have their strong conservative supporters angry at Alex Baldwin for making fun of the president’s illness.

“If there was ever the suggestion that Trump was truly, gravely ill, and people said, ‘Trump is really in trouble,’ then I would bet you everything I have that we wouldn’t even get near that, in terms of content of the show,” Baldwin said in a lengthy video he shared Sunday. “They would have done something else. I’ve seen that happen before.”

“We only have the words of the White House itself and the people who work there themselves to go on, and all of them have all been saying he isn’t in any danger. We only have their word to go by,” Baldwin continued. “And if their word was that he was in serious trouble, then we probably wouldn’t have done it.”

As for Carrey, he’s signed on to play Joe Biden in the coming weeks leading up to the election.  And it all was pretty funny as the sketch itself largely focused on poking fun at the chaotic nature of the debate, as well as Trump’s aggressive, interruptive demeanor and Biden’s rambling rebuttals. Only a few passing references were made to Trump’s illness during the sketch itself.

Baldwin — who has been an outspoken critic of Trump throughout his presidency, and has portrayed him dozens of times on SNL in the last four years, went on to stress the importance of getting out and voting. He warned of the possibly complacency that comes from possibly misleading poll numbers and stressed the need to exercise the right to voice your choice in the election.

Meanwhile, SNL airs live coast-to-coast on Saturdays at 8:30 p.m. PT on NBC.

JIM CARREY REPORTEDLY ALSO EYED FOR THE BATMAN TRILOGY’S JOKER
After Joaquin Phoenix’s Academy Award winning performance led Joker to over a billion dollars globally, rumors have been swirling about the possibility of sequels. One person named as a candidate for an older Joker in any sequels is Jim Carrey. And the actor is also rumored to be in consideration for the role of Joker in the newest Batman films, the first of which comes out next year and stars Robert Pattinson.

NEXT JAMES BOND MOVED BUMPED TO APRIL
Uh-Oh…The 25th James Bond thriller, No Time to Die, scheduled to open in November, is being delayed until April 2, 2021 because of the effect of the pandemic on theatrical business.

… No Time to Die is the latest movie to move in a chaotic year that’s seen almost every major big-budget film to get punted to 2021, including Marvel’s Black Widow and Steven Spielberg’s West Side Story. The only big movies left in 2020: Pixar’s Soul (November 20), Dune (December 18), and Wonder Woman 1984 (December 25).

REGAL CINEMAS CONSIDERS CLOSING ALL U.S. THEATERS AFTER DELAY OF BOND MOVIE

Cinema chain Cineworld said Sunday it is considering closing all its movie theaters in Britain and the United States, after the postponement of the new James Bond film left a big hole in schedules. Cineworld owns 543 Regal Cinemas in the U.S. and 128 Cineworld venues in the U.K. and Ireland. Regal is the second-largest movie theater chain in the U.S. after AMC Theatres.

… The company said it was “considering the temporary closure of our U.K. and U.S. cinemas, but a final decision has not yet been reached.”

HOUSE FROM SILENCE OF THE LAMBS IS FOR SALE
Sleeping too well? You can always drop $298,500 for a house used in the iconic 1991 horror film The Silence of the Lambs. The three story home in Perryopolis, Pennsylvania was built in 1910, sits on 1.76 acres of land, and is said to be in “pristine condition” — but the listing barely mentions how psychotic (and fictional) killer Buffalo Bill kept a senator’s daughter locked up in the basement.

SHARON OSBOURNE PUSHES BACK AFTER BEING ACCUSED OF FIRING MARIE OSMOND
Fans of The Talk have been expressing their opinion about Sharon Osbourne’s treatment of Marie Osmond, and it isn’t good. As The Sun reported, some fans have even called for the host to be fired for her bad attitude. Now, Osbourne is hitting back against the backlash. Osbourne faced the camera and addressed viewers directly over Osmond’s exit after one season on the show. During the segment, she told cameras that the rumors that she had anything to do with the situation were false: “We’d like to set the record straight. [The rumors are] 100 percent not true. It’s unfair and unfounded and that’s all we’d like to say.”
