Tumblegeddon – Cars Trapped Over New Year’s Eve In Tumbleweed Pileup

Travelers in Eastern Washington on State Route 240 spent New Year’s Eve trapped by a massive pileup of tumbleweeds.

The tumbleweeds were piled 20 to 30 feet in some areas, and it took work crews and Washington State troopers 10 hours to clean up the mess.

By 8 am, all but one abandoned car had been freed from their weedy prison. Nothing says “Happy New Year!” like a tumbleweed pileup!
