Klamath Falls World Migratory Bird Day
May 18 @ 10:00 am - 3:00 pm
Free educational fun for kids of all ages! Come celebrate birds and their habitats with activities, music, art, and more!
Bring the whole family to explore booths and activities sponsored by some of our local partners and conservation organizations. Badger Run Wildlife Rehabilitation Center will feature live birds of prey; we will have free guided kayak tours (first come first served) and guided bird walks with the Klamath Basin Audubon Society, as well as bird banding demonstrations with the Klamath Bird Observatory. Eco-conscious children’s musical group Banana Slug String Band will perform at 10:30 am. There will be a variety of other hands-on activities and crafts for children of all ages throughout the day. Learn more about migratory birds and how you can “Protect Birds: Be the Solution to Plastic Pollution” – the theme for this year’s event – while enjoying a fun-filled extravaganza along with prizes and giveaways. Join your neighbors in celebrating the wonders of wetlands and migratory birds in the Klamath Basin! Learn more at www.klamathwmbd.com.
