Fundraiser for Kaelyn Carter Medical Expenses; Injured Critically in Auto Accident, Help if you Can

Sept. 16, 2021

BasinLife.com and Wynne Broadcasting is asking for the Klamath Basin community’s help for 13 year old Kaelyn KK Carter, who remains in critical condition after a terrible car crash last Sunday near the Tulelake area. Kaelyn was ejected from the car during the rolling crash. Ms. Carter was life-flighted to Portland’s Oregon Health and Science University Hospital and is still in critical condition as this time.

They are doing everything they can to save Kaelyn’s life. Kaelyn has a laceration to her liver, ruptured spleen, lost one of her kidneys, a broken pelvis, fractured vertebraes, intubated on a ventilator, and sedated and making slow improvements. Outside of these current known injuries they are concerned about her lungs not functioning properly, and possible brain trauma.

She has already had 4 surgeries and has a LONG road of recovery ahead of her. Her parents Tyler and Jackie Carter have been by KK’s side praying for a miracle. KK’s younger sister, family and close friends are doing everything they can to help ease the pain from this dreadful nightmare.

The family needs ALL of US now more than ever before. They are a family always willing to help anyone, and they now need help! Family and friends have opened a GoFundMe account and other ways to help alleviate some expenses they would have never planned for. Both Tyler and Jackie will be out of work for the unforeseeable future to help take care of KK. They will still need to keep up to date on their monthly financial responsibilities as well as temporary relocating to Portland for KK.

Anything helps!! There is never any amount too small!!

The family is in major need of financial help for the medical costs they are beginning to incur to try to save her life.

We are asking those who wish to help with a financial donation in one of 3 ways:

A Rogue Credit Union account has been set up. Visit Rogue Credit Union and ask to contribute to account #6000932756

A GoFundMe account has been established. Click here to visit and donate: https://gofund.me/0e6dd756

You can also contact Kelsey House who can also coordinate if needed and reached at  541-810-2914. Kelsey is a klamath county resident and friend of the family.

We thank you as well as Kaelyn Carter’s family, which includes her parents and relatives who related this story to us, Monty and Monique Holloway.

And most of all, your extreme prayers for Kaelyn Carter are needed at this time. Thank you. -BasinLife.com and Wynne Broadcasting staff.
