SERIES PREMIERE: BOB HEARTS ABISHOLA (8:30p ET, CBS) — Billy Gardell (Mike & Molly) stars in this romantic comedy about a Detroit businessman who falls for his cardiac nurse, a Nigerian immigrant (Folake Olowofoyeku). Christine Ebersole also stars.
SERIES PREMIERE: ALL RISE (9p ET, CBS) — Simone Missick (Luke Cage) stars in this new drama as an idealistic, newly appointed judge and the absurd lives of the those in an L.A. courthouse. Marg Helgenberger also stars.
SERIES PREMIERE: PRODIGAL SON (9p ET, FOX) — This new drama follows a criminal psychologist (Tom Payne, The Walking Dead), whose father (Michael Sheen, Masters of Sex) is actually an infamous serial killer known as The Surgeon. SEASON PREMIERE: BULL (10p ET, CBS) — As Bull prepares for fatherhood in the season 4 premiere, his work suffers without Benny, who quit in reaction to Bull’s romantic reconnection to Benny’s sister, Isabella (Yara Martinez).
SEASON PREMIERE: THE GOOD DOCTOR (10p ET, ABC) — The Season 3 premiere picks up the day after Shaun and Carly’s first date, which is shown throughout the episode via a series of flashbacks.

THE AERONAUTS TRAILER
A trailer for The Aeronauts came out over the weekend. The movie stars Eddie Redmayne and Felicity Jones. Set in 1862 and inspired by true events, The Aeronauts follows wealthy young widow Amelia Wren (Jones) and headstrong scientist James Glaisher (Redmayne) as they mount a balloon expedition to fly higher than anyone in history. • VIDEO
TIVO SAYS DVR OWNERS WILL SEE ADS BEFORE RECORDED SHOWS
Fans of DVRs use them not just to capture shows they can’t watch in real time, but to skip the ads. But TiVo — the company which pretty much invented the ad-skipping DVR box — is going to force some users to watch ads. The company says “all eligible” retail DVRs will be showing pre-roll ads soon and that it will be a “permanent part of the service.” TiVo says that you’ll have the ability to skip these ads, although an early tester said he had to fast forward to get to the show.
CARL RUIZ, FOOD NETWORK STAR, DIES
Carl Ruiz, celebrity chef who regularly appeared on Guy Fieri’s Food Network shows, died Saturday at the age of 44. Ruiz was a regular on three of Guy Fieri’s shows: Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives, Guy’s Grocery Games, and Guy’s Ranch Kitchen, and was good friends with many of Food Network’s stars.
… In addition to his Food Network appearances, Ruiz hosted his own YouTube series, Omg Carl’s Food Show, in which he reviewed chain restaurants.
… Ruiz’s cause of death has not been confirmed.
STAR TREK: DEEP SPACE NINE ACTOR ARON EISENBERG DIES
Aron Eisenberg, who played Nog from the Star Trek spin-off Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, has died. He was 50.
