Blue Zones Project ® – Klamath Falls invite community members and media to a free Celebratory Bike Ride on Thursday, June 20 at 5:45 pm. The Bike Ride is held to commemorate the one-year anniversary of the opening of the Separated Bike Lane and will be held on the first Third Thursday of the Summer.

The ride will begin at the start of the Bike Lane, at the intersection of Biehn Street and Oregon Avenue.
West Ridge Animal Clinic is allowing people to utilize their parking lot for the event. Cyclists and pedestrians alike are encouraged to participate in the event which will end at Third Thursday on Main Street in Downtown Klamath Falls.

The Separated Bike Lane was made possible through the efforts of the late Dr. Stephanie Van Dyke, Katherine Pope, and funding provided by Cascade Health Alliance. This trail is seen as an important link in the walkability and cycling network in Klamath Falls and is intended to promote active transportation that is safe and comfortable for cyclists, runners, walkers, and drivers.

More information about the Separated Bike Lane can be found at http://www.healthyklamath.org/.
