HARRY POTTER POKÉMON GO-STYLE MOBILE GAME IS COMING _ The developer of Pokémon Go has released a teaser for the Harry Potter: Wizards Unite mobile game. Harry Potter fans have been waiting a long time for a mobile game in the style of Pokémon Go, which game maker Niantic announced in 2017. Wizards Unite will be out in 2019.

… The game will allow players to fully immerse themselves in the wizarding world in an augmented reality experience much like Pokémon Go. • VIDEO

JACK REACHER TV SERIES IN THE WORKS _ The Jack Reacher book series, which was turned into a film franchise starring Tom Cruise, is headed for the small screen with a new TV series in development. Book author Lee Child broke the news on Wednesday. This deal signals the end of the Cruise-led films, and Cruise will not star in the potential TV series.

LITTLE HOUSE’S HARRIET OLESON DIES _ Katherine MacGregor, who played petty, gossiping mother Harriet Oleson on TV’s Little House on the Prairie, has died at age 93. MacGregor died Tuesday at the Motion Picture and Television Fund retirement community in Los Angeles. While her nasty daughter Nellie Oleson was the character viewers most loved to hate on the NBC show that ran from 1974 to 1983, her cruel, greedy mother Harriet Oleson was just as awful.

A-LISTERS STEPPING UP FOR CALIFORNIA WILDFIRE RELIEF EFFORTS _  Hollywood is doing their part to assist those impacted by the deadly wildfires scorching California. Several stars including Miley Cyrus, Gerard Butler, Camille Grammer, Robin Thicke and Neil Young lost their homes in the Woolsey fire that swept through Malibu and the surrounding Los Angeles and Ventura Counties. Other celebrities like Caitlyn Jenner, Jessica Simpson, Orlando Bloom, Alyssa Milano were forced to evacuate as the flames crept dangerously close to their residences.

… Amidst the destruction, these and many other celebrities have donated their time, energy and finances to the ongoing wildfire relief efforts. Lady Gaga has paid two visits to a Red Cross shelter with several stacks of pizza boxes, coffee and gift cards for those community members displaced by the fires.

DUMPLIN’ TRAILER WITH JENNIFER ANISTON _ Netflix has released the trailer for Dumplin’, about a beauty queen mother in a Texas town who’s unsure of what to make of her plus-size teen entering a pageant. The movie stars Jennifer Aniston and features the music of Dolly Parton. It’ll come to Netflix and a select theaters on December 7. • TRAILER

STAN LEE DEAD AT 95 
 Stan Lee, the Marvel Comics legend who co-created some of its most famous heroes like Spider-Man, Iron Man, and the Fantastic Four, died Monday in Los Angeles at the age of 95. Lee was reportedly rushed to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center where he later died. The cause of death has not been immediately released.

… Lee began working at Timely Comic in 1939 at age 18. The company changed its name to Marvel Comics in 1961 when Lee and artist Jack Kirby co-created the Fantastic Four and saw it go on to become a hit.

… With the success of Fantastic Four came more Lee/Kirby creations throughout the 1960s, including Hulk, Thor, Iron Man and the X-Men. Lee co-created Daredevil, Doctor Strange and Spider-Man.

… Lee’s birth name was “Stanley Martin Lieber,” but used “Stan Lee” as his pen name and then later had it legally changed.

… He’s gone, so will Stan Lee still appear in future Marvel movies, namely Captain Marvel and Avengers 4? Marvel producer Kevin Feige says Lee recorded several cameos back-to-back, to be peppered into several future films.

… Here’s every Stan Leo cameo from 1989 – 2018. According to the comments on YouTube, this compilation may have missed a few cameos and a couple of the dates of the films are incorrect, but it’s still pretty comprehensive.

TOY STORY 4 TEASER IS OUT _ The first teaser for Toy Story 4 introduces a new character who’s caught some attention. Forky is an adorable, demented little spork outfitted with pipe-cleaner arms and a cute, squiggly face. It’s the type of toy that could only be loved by a child who spent 20 whole minutes making it, and it’s obvious from the teaser that he doesn’t belong with the rest of Andy and Bonnie’s precious toys. Even Forky admits it, frantically crying out that he isn’t a to. • VIDEO

THE RYAN REYNOLDS-VOICED TRAILER FOR DETECTIVE PIKACHU IS OUT _ The first Pokemon Detective Pikachu trailer is here and it looks like serious fun. The general plot of the movie has been known for a while now. A wise-cracking Pikachu, voiced by Deadpool star Ryan Reynolds, helps out a young man whose father (a cop) has mysteriously disappeared, all in a world that coexists with Pokemon. • VIDEO

ALEX TREBEK REVEALS HOW JUSTIN TRUDEAU GETS OUT OF MEETINGS _ Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has a sly way of ending meetings, according to Jeopardy host Alex Trebek. Trebek said in an interview (with Vulture), “I spent almost an hour with him in Ottawa. … I noticed at one point, after about 45 minutes, that Justin did something like this [scratches under his shirt], and about ten seconds later, there was a knock on the door and one of his assistants came in and said, ‘Mr. Prime Minister, you have a meeting.'” Trebek thinks Trudeau “has a buzzer under his shirt that he can use to signal his assistants when it’s time to come and get him.”

SANDRA BULLOCK DONATES $100K TO RESCUE ANIMALS FROM WILDFIRES _ Sandra Bullock reached deep into her pockets in order to help save the animals that are at risk in the ongoing California wildfires. The Humane Society of Ventura County, California (HSVC), announced that it is “deeply humbled” by a $100,000 donation that came from the Oscar winner and her family.

… The HSVC says Bullock’s donation will help “provide 24/7 care for the scores of horses, bulls, donkeys, pigs, chickens, ducks, dogs, cats and other pets evacuated from the fires. The HSVC pledges to care for these animals for as long as is needed or until their owners feel comfortable in safely reuniting their families.”

LADY GAGA GIVES EMOTIONAL SPEECH TO FIRE VICTIMS _ Lady Gaga was one of the thousands of people forced to evacuate their homes when the Woolsey Fire began to tear through Southern California last week, but the pop star made time to stop by a Red Cross shelter to speak to other affected residents over the weekend. She encouraged those displaced to care for each other and to seek help from the shelter and the mental health support staff on site. • VIDEO

… Lady Gaga posted a series of videos on her Instagram story on Friday showing her and her staff evacuating her home, as giant plumes of smoke rose from the now 91,000-acre fire in the distance.

BOX OFFICE HITS $10 BILLION AT RECORD PACE IN 2018 _ The record pace of the 2018 domestic box office continues with Hollywood hitting $10 billion faster than any other year in box office history. The box office now has seven weeks to push the annual domestic gross to $12 billion, which would make 2018 the first year ever to hit that mark.

DAN CRENSHAW GETS LAST LAUGH ON PETE DAVIDSON 
 Pete Davidson apologized on Saturday Night Live to Dan Crenshaw, the former Navy SEAL and newly elected Representative he mocked last week. In a surprise cameo, Crenshaw appeared alongside Davidson to take a few humorous potshots of his own and then, more earnestly, to try to find some common ground.

… Davidson told Crenshaw he was sorry, and Crenshaw accepted, but then suddenly Crenshaw’s cellphone rang: His ringtone was Breathin’, a song by pop star Ariana Grande, who just last month became Davidson’s ex-fiancée. Davidson took the joke in stride as Crenshaw asked him, “Do you know her?”

… The pair ended the bit with a plea to support veterans, with Crenshaw urging people to commemorate Veterans Day by telling people who have served “Never forget.”

GERARD BUTLER LOSES HIS HOME TO WILDFIRE _ Gerard Butler shared a jaw-dropping image of his burned down house on Sunday afternoon, as he has become part of a growing list of celebrities who have lost their homes over the past couple of days due to the deadly California wildfires.

… Reality star Camille Grammer went through a similar tragedy when she shared the horrific news that her home had too burned down.

ZOO IS A ZOMBIE MOVIE WITH A TWIST _ A new thriller called Zoo puts a new twist on zombie movies. A couple being stuck together is only one half of the story. As the two get comfortable while waiting to be rescued, their softer side convinces them to let another couple in for safety. BRUNO MARS TO PROVIDE THANKSGIVING MEALS FOR 24K IN HAWAII _ Bruno Mars will mark the end of his massive 24K Magic World Tour by providing meals to 24,000 Hawaii residents in need for the Thanksgiving holiday. The Hawaiian-born singer announced Sunday he has donated money for the food to the Salvation Army’s Hawaiian and Pacific Islands Division, which hosts an annual Thanksgiving meal program to help those in need. Mars performed the final show of his 200-date tour at Aloha Stadium in Honolulu on Sunday.

KATE UPTON WELCOMES BABY GIRL _ Kate Upton gave birth to a baby girl last Wednesday (November 7). The model and actress announced on Instagram Saturday the arrival of her daughter Genevieve Upton Verlander.

GABRIELLE UNION WILL PRODUCE AND STAR IN ROMANTIC COMEDY _ Gabrielle Union will produce and star in a new romantic comedy based on the bestselling novel The Perfect Find. The novel follows the life of 40-year-old Jenna Jones, who will be played by Union, a fashion editor who finds herself out of a job. Jones is forced to work for a rival publication under her frenemy Darcy Vale. Jones struggles to keep up with her younger coworkers, who are all social media savvy millennials, which leaves her feeling out of touch — until she starts dating one of them.

MICHAEL DOUGLAS GETS STAR ON HOLLYWOOD WALK OF FAME _ Michael Douglas was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and he shared the moment with those he loved most. The 74-year-old actor gave a heartfelt speech after his induction on Tuesday after almost five decades of working in Hollywood. Douglas was joined by some of his closest family members including his wife Catherine Zeta-Jones, son Cameron Douglas and his 101-year-old father and actor Kirk Douglas — whose own star on the Walk of Fame was nearby.

KELLY RIPA TO STAR ALONGSIDE HUSBAND MARK CONSUELOS ON RIVERDALE _ Kelly Ripa is the latest family member in the Consuelos gang to join the cast of Riverdale. On Tuesday, the Live with Kelly and Ryan host revealed to her followers that she would be starring alongside her husband Mark Consuelos on the CW drama, playing his character Hiram Lodge’s mistress. Ripa’s character, Mrs. Mulwray, is said to be described as “Confident and tough… she’s a beautiful, icy, femme fatale who gets caught up in a conspiracy that’s much bigger than she initially realized.”

THE TITAN GAMES TRAILER _ The first trailer for The Titan Games has arrived. The physical competition series is produced and hosted by Dwayne Johnson. The basic format looks like American Ninja Warrior, but the challenges look to be more strength-based. The Titan Games is coming to NBC in January. • VIDEO

ARIANA GRANDE IS BILLBOARD’S 2018 WOMAN OF THE YEAR _ Ariana Grande has been named the 2018 Woman of the Year by Billboard. Grande will be presented with a Woman of the Year award at the 13th annual Women in Music dinner and awards gala in New York on December 6. The singer has had an eventful year, releasing her fourth studio album Sweetener in August. The release reached No. 1 on the Billboard charts and earned the largest streaming week ever for a pop album by a female artist upon its release.

SHREK REBOOT ON THE WAY _ 17 years after Shrek came to theaters, Universal Pictures has decided it’s time to revisit the highly lucrative character. A reboot is in the works.

IDRIS ELBA IS 2018’S SEXIEST MAN ALIVE _ The folks at People Magazine have just confirmed what most women have known since forever: Idris Elba is the sexiest man alive. The award-winning British actor received the title in this week’s annual issue, succeeding country star and The Voice judge Blake Shelton

ONCE UPON A DEADPOOL IS DEADPOOL 2 IN A PG-13 WRAPPER _ A toned-down version of Deadpool 2 is coming to theaters in December. The re-edited, holiday-themed version called Once Upon a Deadpool is a PG-13 version of the film. The new version will feature added extra scenes where Ryan Reynolds’ antihero appears with actor Fred Savage. Savage will appear in eight scenes in which Deadpool will read a bedtime story to the former child actor, a concept that is completely recycled from 1987’s The Princess Bride.

… Deadpool 2 star Ryan Reynolds says that $1 from every ticket is going to the Fudge Cancer charity — which normally has a dirtier name but was cleaned up for the superhero flick.

… Reynolds joked: “I said ‘Yes’ [to the special re-release] on two conditions. First, a portion of the proceeds had to go to charity. Second, I wanted to kidnap Fred Savage. The second condition took some explaining…”

… Savage added: “While my participation in this film was anything but voluntary. I am happy to learn that Fudge Cancer will be the beneficiary of this shameless cash grab.”

… Once Upon a Deadpool marks the third version of Deadpool 2 that will be available for audiences, including the previously released theatrical version and the alternate joke-filled Super Duper Cut that came with movie’s home release.

DEADWOOD MOVIE BEGINS PRODUCTION WITH ORIGINAL CAST RETURNING _ HBO has announced the Deadwood movie has officially begun production, and the original cast is returning. There have been talks of a Deadwood movie ever since the original show went off the air in 2006.

TV SHOWS GETTING REBOOTED _ If there aren’t enough reboots on your device, here’s a reminder of what’s coming (and it’s not even a comprehensive list): Party of Five; The Jetsons; ALF; Miami Vice; Rugrats; The Munsters; Psych; Deadwood; Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

GEORGE CLOONEY DONATES HIS HARLEY TO HELP VETS _ George Clooney is doing an awesome thing to raise money for veterans — giving up one of his prized Harley motorcycles. Homes For Our Troops, the non-profit group working with George, says George and good friend Jake Tapper have been planning the motorcycle donation for a month, and the ride will be auctioned off to raise funds to build homes for severely injured vets. The bike is a limited edition 2017 FLHTX with a mere 25 miles and a retail price of about $28,000. • LINK

JEOPARDY AND WHEEL OF FORTUNE RENEWED THROUGH 2023 _ Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy will keep the questions coming for quite a few more years. Announced Monday, CBS Television Distribution has renewed both game shows for three additional seasons, extending its deal with Sony Pictures Television to keep the shows on the air all the way through the 2022-23 season.

… The renewal will keep Jeopardy going through its 39th season and Wheel of Fortune through its 40th. The news comes just a few days after Jeopardy host Alex Trebek and Wheel of Fortune’s Pat Sajak and Vanna White all renewed their contracts.

DISNEY HAS REPORTEDLY EARNED BACK THE $4B IT PAID FOR LUCASFILM _ As if gun violence, paying down your college debt, and the uncertainty of healthcare in this country weren’t enough to keep you awake at night, you were probably very concerned that Disney would be able to recoup the $4 billion it paid to buy the Star Wars franchise from Lucasfilm. Well good news: a new report says Disney has made back its $4 billion and more. In fact it’s brought in over $4.8 billion — and that’s not counting licensing and merchandise deals.

MATTHEW MCCONAUGHEY REALLY WANTED TO PLAY JACK IN TITANIC _ Matthew McConaughey really wanted to be the king of the world. During an interview with on Hollywood Reporter’s Awards Chatter podcast, the actor said, “I went and auditioned for [Titanic]. I wanted that. I auditioned with Kate Winslet. Had a good audition. Walked away from there pretty confident that I had it. I didn’t get it. I never got offered that.”

… One role he was offered but declined was in LA Confidential. McConaughey says it was the role Guy Pearce ended up with: “And that’s a movie I really, really liked. That one sticks out to me as one that I’m like, ‘Oh man, that would have been a really good one to be a part of.'”

ADAM LEVINE AND JONAH HILL’S MOMS TEAM UP TO FORM CHARITY _ Adam Levine’s mom, Patsy Noah, and Jonah Hill’s mom, Sharon Feldstein, have teamed up for a special project. Noah and Feldstein actually became friends decades ago, when they met through their boyfriends while on a trip to Las Vegas in 1973.

Both of their children rose to stardom, as we know. Noah and Feldstein knew that they were in a position of privilege to have well-off, famous children, and knew they had to use that privilege to do something important. This inspired them to start the charity YourMomCares, a foundation that is dedicated to helping unprivileged children. They even got other celebrity mothers on board, and are now working with Alicia Keys’ mother, NBA star Chris Paul’s mom, Michael B. Jordan’s mom, and Jennifer Lopez’s mom, among others.

… YourMomCares recently donated a $50,000 grant to Children’s Health Fund, a group that helps children receive quality health care.
