Labor Management Meeting
In KFCS, HR works together in reaching solutions, making the Klamath Falls City School District one of the most desirable of employment opportunities in the Basin.
They listen to the input and ideas of the teachers as well as promote a partnership that supports staff who have a direct impact on the decisions and how their decisions will impact the students.
We are a collegial organization to work in. The definition of collegial is “marked by power or authority vested equally in each of a number of colleagues”.
Additionally, HR works to support the needs of the district and understand the value of working collaboratively.
The purpose of the training was to recognize education as a team sport, as well as the commitment to strong systems of communication the KFCS organization.
This was a training entitled “Labor management and collaboration- How to build a collaborative culture” it was jointly sponsored by KFEA and KFSA.
Members of the Klamath Falls Education Association and Klamath Falls School administrators attended this meeting at the city school district boardroom on September 5, 2017.
The meeting took place to continue the strong collaborative relationship between Klamath Falls city School teachers and the administrative team.
“This is just another example of the commitment from our teachers and administrators to work together,” said KFEA President, Maureen Lundy.
Human Resources Director, Shelly Hunt said, “This is just another example of how Klamath Falls City School District’s commitment to assuring the high quality of education for our students.”
The HR department is known for working well with the teacher group to demonstrate why they ARE the best district for employee’s students and families. They roll up their sleeves and work through challenging situations together.
