Klamath Union Student with the Klamath Outstanding Teen Pageant Visits Ponderosa

Danniell Collins, 9th grade Klamath Union student with the Klamath Outstanding Teen Pageant spoke at Ponderosa Middle School on Wednesday, October 25th. She is involved in a community service project to create Give Bags. The project is associated with the Klamath County Outstanding Teen Pageant.

Danniell and her mentor, Janine Henry, had Kacie Palmer’s 6th-grade class. Mrs. Palmer’s art class helped make the GIVE bags for needy community members.

The students had the choice to donate their bags, but more than half of the group wanted to distribute these bags themselves to community member’s they knew who needed them.

Danniell obtained the materials with a grant that she wrote to raise the money.
