Produce Connection Helps Families At Mills Elementary
Mills Elementary partnered with the OSU extension office and the Klamath County food bank to provide free fresh produce to Mills’ families every Thursday in September and October.
The produce was available in the gym after school, and volunteers helped distribute produce to Mills Elementary families.
The purpose was to support the families who have difficulty purchasing food, as well as to promote healthy eating at home.
The program, called the “Produce Connection”, was a fantastic opportunity for Mills families and very well attended.
