The Dedicated Mills Nursing Office, Part Of Klamath Falls City Schools!
The Mills Nursing Office
Mills is the only elementary school in the Klamath Falls City School system to have a dedicated Nursing Office.
It is staffed daily by the Health Aid, Bekah Jones (pictured), and it is staffed on Thursdays and Fridays by Nurse Maureen O’Dea
The nursing office is available during student contact hours to ensure Mill’s students are healthy.
Bekah and Maureen play a key role in the academic initiatives in that in order for our students to be able to concentrate on the day-to-day tasks of learning, they need to be healthy.
“My official title is Nursing Assistant/Health Aid,” said Bekah Jones, “I've always enjoyed working with kids, so I'm thrilled to be a part of the Mills staff. I love the opportunity to help the students be healthy and comfortable at school.”
Having an on-site nursing office means Mills Elementary can meet the kids needs as quickly as possible, whether that's taking a temperature, cleaning scraped knees, or calling home.
If the students' health is taken care of, it gives them, and their teachers, the freedom to focus on school.Edit Module
