Students Dissect Cow Eyes As Part Of Science Teaching On Vision At Roosevelt Elementary
4th and 5th-grade students preparing to learn about vision.
Roosevelt students in Mrs. Morehouse’s 4th/5th Class dissected Cow Eyes As part of their science courses to learn about vision.
Students got to see the optic nerve, the retina, the muscles of the eye and so much more!
“They've been learning about the eye for a few weeks and to see it up close was pretty cool!” said Mrs. Morehouse.
Most students were fascinated by the structure of the eye and the unique opportunity to pair up what they had been learning in science with real visual experience.
Mrs. Morehouse has been including this exercise as part of her science series for years now and it has become a well-known part of learning science in her classes!
