Ross Ragland Youth Summer Camp Starts July 25th! Learn More, Sign Up Here!

The Ross Ragland Theater is excited to announce another great Summer Young Camp for young theater buffs. The camps are filled with theater games and socially engaging exercises intended to establish and strengthen skills used in the performing arts.

 These camps will offer students an opportunity to explore the basics of acting, music, and movement in a fun environment.

* Scholarships are available in each age group. Download the form and send to education@ragland.org to apply. (See below.)

Youth Summer Theater Camp 2022

For (Ages 10-18)

This Summer Camp for young thespians is a three-week long all day camp for different aspects of the theater life. This camp goes into a full theater production on the Ragland stage. Not only do they learn about theater etiquette, staging, singing music and dancing we dive into Improv, making set/props, costumes, tech for sound and video, and backstage crew.

Whether your student wants to be out front on stage and perform or be behind the scenes and learn what it takes to put the show on or even learn how to be a Stage Manager this is the camp for you.

For High School juniors and seniors, we offer an internship of the business side of what it takes to organize, put plans for all the camps in place, and run each camp.

Details:  July 25th – August 12th
(8:30 am – 3:30 pm)

Performances: August 13th, 2022
(2:00 PM & 5:30 PM)

*Precautions and Protocols at All Camps*

All Drop–off & Pick-up will be in the Cultural Center, we ask that all Parents/Guardians park in the parking lot across the street from the theater to give room for everyone to line up on the marks we have made outside for check-in and check-out.
We have 6 separate spaces available with a teacher and an assistant to maintain safety for everyone. All teacher have come up with activities for groups of students for a safe environment.
We will have several hand sanitizer stands throughout the buildings for staff and students to use when moving to a new area in the facility.
During camp we ask that student stay 6ft apart as much as possible, scheduled hands washing during the camp, and reminding students when coughing or sneezing do so into an elbow or shirt).
Camp class sizes are limited due to the availability. There will be a Performance at the end of Youth Camp.
 Please make sure to bring your own Water Bottles, as water fountains are closed.
Cleaning and sanitizing of spaces and restroom will happen throughout the day.
